How do I get rid of the staging button next to my orders?

Why is the "Staging" icon there?

# Top

The staging icon is there to let you know that recurring payments will not be processed on your site.

We have information on why this happens in our Staging and Recurring Payments documentation.

How do I turn Staging mode off?

# Top

You can turn this staging setting off and on at any time by going to LifterLMS > Status, “Tools and Utilities” tab, and clicking the Reset Automatic Payments option.

This will create a nag notification at the top of the screen that will give you options to disable and reenable automatic payments.

Can I leave Staging mode on?

# Top

As a general rule, if the site is not a staging (testing) site, you should not have staging mode turned on.

Even if you do not have any Courses or Memberships with recurring payments, you should not leave the staging mode enabled on the site.

What if I had Staging mode turned on a production site with recurring payments?

# Top

Depending on how long Staging mode was turned on, automatic recurring payments may have been missed.

If there are missing upcoming scheduled payments, you can go to LifterLMS > Status, “Tools and Utilities” tab, and click Reschedule Payments

Note that there is a chance two charges may occur during the same period when a missed “catch up” payment is made after staging mode has been disabled. If staging mode was turned on for more than the length of a recurring period (for example, more than a month for a monthly Access plan), it is likely not all payments will be caught up. In this case, you would need to manually process payments, which can then be recorded on the order by clicking Record a Manual Payment
