The purpose of this notification is to give your customers a proactive heads up that their subscription is about to renew.

There are many reasons to notify your customers about upcoming payments like:
- Give them an opportunity to update their credit card number so as not to churn
- Give them an opportunity to update their credit card expiration date so as not to churn
- Give them an opportunity to switch payment method from PayPal to credit card (or vice versa)
- Give them an opportunity to cancel should they wish to not proceed with their subscription
