Will Updating LifterLMS affect my existing courses or memberships?

In general, updating LifterLMS should not affect your existing courses or memberships.

We follow semantic versioning, which means that potentially breaking changes are reserved for major version releases (e.g., 1.5 to 2.0). Minor releases (e.g., from 1.5 to 1.6) are designed to remain backward compatible and should not introduce breaking changes to your courses.

Before updating, review the changelog and make sure you have a full backup of your site. For major releases or sites with custom code and multiple integrations, consider testing the update on a staging site first.
