How many websites can I use my LifterLMS license on?
A LifterLMS license does three main things:
- Lets you submit technical support tickets.
- Makes installing paid LifterLMS products on your WordPress site easier.
- Enables software updates for those paid products.
Once a paid product is installed, it keeps working even if you remove your license, but it won’t receive any further updates. Over time, changes in WordPress or other plugins may require an update to stay compatible. That’s why a license is needed for ongoing support, easy installation, and updates.
License Usage on Live Websites
- Infinity Bundle: Use on unlimited live sites at once.
- Universe Bundle: Use on up to 5 live sites at once.
- Earth Bundle: Use on 1 live site at a time.
- Individual Product License: Use on 1 live site at a time.
Non-Live (Dev/Staging) Sites
There’s no license limit for development, staging, or testing environments. You can add your license to any non-live domain—examples include domain.test, staging.domain.com, etc.—without affecting live site limits.
Unlimited “Serial” Usage
Even with a limit (e.g., 1 or 5 live sites), you can move the license between sites as needed:
- Activate on one site, update or install products.
- Deactivate and switch to another site, then repeat.
This lets you update or install paid products on any number of live sites, just not simultaneously if you exceed your license’s live-site limit. If you find constant swapping inconvenient, consider upgrading to the Infinity Bundle for unlimited simultaneous usage.
