How to set LifterLMS form fields to be required, optional, or hidden
Before you can set specific fields to be set as ‘required’, ‘optional’, or ‘hidden’, you first need to navigate to the LifterLMS Form Builder.
If you’re looking to hide specific fields, such as removing address fields from your checkout or registration process, you can do so by editing the core forms that control these areas.
- Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard and navigate to LifterLMS > Forms.
- Here, you will see a list of all the default LifterLMS forms (such as Billing Information, Edit Account, Registration, etc.).
- Hover over the title of the form you want to change and click Edit to open the Form Builder.

To change the requirement option for fields:
- Click into the field you want to edit (the First Name field, for example).
- Turn off the toggle on the right-hand sidebar for that specific block.

If you’d like to remove or hide a field from your form, click the three dots for that block and select ‘Remove block’.
